The owners wanted their new house to suit the functional needs of their growing family, as well as have a structure that blends into the context of the existing neighborhood, and utilizes the details and amenities of a modern home.  It rests upon the foundation of the previous house, and is organized around a central double-height dining room, which takes advantage of the view to their large, wooded lot, and is anchored on each side by the main kitchen and living room.
